Applebees Job Application / Salary Range
Applebee’s was founded by Bill and T.J. Palmer in Decatur, Georgia on January 1, 1980. The pair decided to sell their business to W.R. Grace and Company in 1983 after opening their second restaurant. When they sold the stores Bill Palmer was named president to W.R. Grace and Company in 1983. This enabled Bill Palmer to direct the company from its entrepreneurial beginnings to a full-fledged franchise. The restaurant was named Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in 1986 to reflect the Palmer’s original concept of a place people could call their own. Today there are 1,990 restaurants making them the world’s largest casual dining restaurant chain. July 16, 2007 I HOP Corp bought Applebee’s International for about 2.1 billion.
