Job Description/Average Wage

Aircraft Power plant Repairer: As an Aircraft Power plant Repairer you will examine services and repair Army helicopters and airplanes. The Aircraft Power plant Repairer is mainly accountable for supervising, inspecting and performing maintenance on aircraft turbine engines and components. Some of your duties as an Aircraft Power plant Repairer may include:

  • Remove, replace, service, prepare, preserve, clean and store engine assemblies or components.
  • Disassemble, repair, reassemble, adjust, and diagnostically test turbine engine systems, subsystems and components according to directives.
  • Help in troubleshooting engines and rigging engine controls.
  • Execute limited safeguarding operational checks.
  • Use and perform user maintenance on common and special tools
  • Requisition and sustain shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft engine.
  • Prepare requests for turn-ins and repair parts and engine components.

The average wage ranges around $81,000 to $88,000 a year.

Military Intelligence Officer: The Army’s Military Intelligence is responsible for all intelligence gathered or learned during Army missions. You will be always out front, providing essential intelligence and in many cases saving Soldiers who are fighting on the front lines. Military Intelligence Officers also assess risks associated with friendly and enemy courses of action and act to counter or neutralize identified intelligence threats. The MI Officer also uses intelligence systems and data to reduce uncertainty of enemy, terrain and weather conditions for a commander. A Military Intelligence Officer specializes in these specific areas:

  • Oversee the collection and analysis of optical, infrared and radar imagery using photogrammetric and terrain analysis.
  • Executes collection management, surveillance and reconnaissance activities and provides advice on the use of resources on all levels.
  • Provides coordination and participation in counterintelligence investigations, operations and production.

The average salary ranges around $68,000 to $90,000 a year.

Aircraft Electrician: The Aircraft Electrician is chiefly accountable for supervising, inspecting and performing maintenance on aircraft electrical systems. Some of your duties as an Aircraft Electrician may include:

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions in electrical and electronic components.
  • Repairing aircraft instrument systems.
  • Applying principles of electricity/electronics, hydrostatic motion, pneumatics and hydraulics to the repair of aircraft instrument systems.
  • Removing, installing, repairing, adjusting and testing electrical/electronic elements of assemblies.

Health Care Specialist: As a Health Care Specialist you will be authorized to step in to provide basic and emergency medical treatment. The Health Care Specialist is primarily accountable for providing emergency medical treatment, limited primary care and health protection and evacuation from a point of injury or illness. Some of your duties as a Health Care Specialist may include:

  • Manage emergency medical treatment to battlefield casualties.
  • Help with outpatient and inpatient care and treatment.
  • Interview patients and recording their medical histories.
