Swiss Chalet started in 1954 and since then it has truly served an iconic Canadian favorite that provide Canadians with tastes that they love and crave. Swiss Chalet prides to have made the real and fresh foods. Rotisserie chicken is perfectly fresh; dipping sauce is simmered so it will surely taste good; grilled ordered ribs are marinated in-house; and everything is made just for every customer coming in.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Front of the House Associates: The Front of House Associates personality and service skills directly influence whether a Guest will dine with the restaurant again. While flawlessly executing the service standards, they personalize every unique Guest experience when they interact with our Guests and they modify their interaction based on their needs. The profitability of the restaurant relies on this team’s ability to maximize the revenue available for each Guest in the dining room. They bring the marketing promises to life by promoting great food, delivering exactly what the Guest ordered with responsive service and they do so with pride and ownership. The position includes the hosts and servers who receive $9 to $10 per hour.

Heart of the House Associates: Heart of House Associates make sure that our Guests receive a great product all of the time. And beyond these details, they provide consistent, high quality products while supporting Swiss Chalet’s speed of service standards in our 3 busy service channels (Dine in, take-out and delivery).

Cashier and Take-Out Associates: Cashier and Take-out Associates create the first impression of the guest about the brand. They make Guests feel special with their warm welcome, friendly smile and sincere gratitude that our Guest chose Swiss Chalet today. They demonstrate pride in the company’s brand and drive profitability with their product and promotion knowledge, and they help the Guests to complete their order, ensuring the Perfect Guest Experience. They directly influence the speed of service by efficiently processing Guest orders and ensuring the Guest receives exactly what they ordered. It’s never a dull moment for our Take-out Team as they service our take-out, drive thru and delivery Guests. The hourly rate of these associates ranges $10 to $12.

Manager:  This person strives to provide the best service and the highest quality food served in unique and welcoming surroundings. Swiss Chalet Managers are committed to providing the Guests a safe environment in which to relax and enjoy the restaurant hospitality. The Managers learn about the many ways they can empower their Associates to take the lead on providing Perfect Guest Experiences and of course how they themselves can inspire their efforts.
