Job Description/Wage Averages

Server: This position has the responsibilities of requesting or taking orders from and serve food and beverages to guests; he must be checking on guest satisfaction and handling the payment and complaints/concerns of customers. He/She must be knowledgeable of service techniques, food and beverage product and practices of responsible alcohol service. The expected annual salary ranges $34k to $36k.

Restaurant General Manager: This position works to ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably and everybody is working for the attainment of company goals. He/She must to plan, direct and must coordinate activities of the restaurants. The manager is responsible for the business performance of their restaurant, maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety. He/She has to combine strategic planning, shift pattern organization and day-to-day management activities.   The average wage can start at around $14 per hour.

Busser: This position takes charge in the dining room and so he must have a dining room awareness and must ensure overall guest satisfaction.   You’re going to be responsible for cleaning down the tables, sweeping the floor as well as ensuring that the dishes are cleaned in back.   Once cleaned, it will be your sole responsibility to ensure that they are put back in order.   The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.

Line Cook:   The line cook takes charge in setting up the work station, prep items for service, cleaning the station and may also perform general duties like cleaning kitchen equipment, organize produce delivery, train a new cook and perform complete inventory.   The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
