Job Description/Wage Averages

Dish Washer: This person ensures that all dishes, glasses, utensils and equipment are cleaned, sanitized and stored in a clean place and in organized manner.   The average wage can start around $8 per hour.

Busser: This position makes sure that the dining area is organized and has enough stocks the of glassware, dishware, etc. ; polishes and stocks restaurant with silverware; ensure clean; fills ice bins with ice; carry bus tubs to dishwasher ;clean up spills and assists the servers.   The average wage can start around $8 per hour.

Prep Cook: This position primarily prepares/cooks food for guests. He/She will also coordinate prep amounts with managers, follow recipe instructions, use checklists and prep sheets, responsible for following safe food handling guidelines.   The average wage can start around $8 to $11 per hour.

Restaurant Manager: This position will manage the entire operation of the restaurant. He/She makes sure that all activities in the restaurant are all in accordance to guidelines and in attaining the goals of the company. He/She also trains and hires potential employees and directs them towards the attainment of goals. He/She is to ensure high quality products and services for the customers.   The average wage can start around $13 per hour.

Food and Beverage Server: This position has the duties of requesting or taking orders from and serve food and beverages to guests; ensuring guest satisfaction and handling the payment and complaints/concerns of customers. He/She possess the necessary knowledge of service techniques, food and beverage product and practices of responsible alcohol service.   The average wage can start around $2 to $3 per hour, plus tips.
