Job Descriptions and Wage Averages

Cashier: A cashier is responsible for money matters in the store. The person in this job collects and receives payment from purchased products of the customers. It can be in a form of cash, card or check.   You’re going to handle cash transactions, credit cards, as well as ensure that the customer is happy with his/her purchase.   The salary for this job is $7.73 per hour.

Bagger: The bagger is going to help the cashier with bagging groceries as the customer leaves the store.   You’re going to help bag groceries, as well as help those out to the car that need help.   You will also help with cleaning and ensuring that the front lobby is cleaned.   There may be times when you have to collect carts as well.   The average wage is $7 to $10 a hour.

Deli Clerk: The deli clerk is responsible in the functioning of the deli department. This position ensures that the workplace is clean. Slicing and weighing of the deli products such as sliced meats are some of the job a deli clerk must do. The average salary is $8.78 per hour.

Service Clerk: A service clerk assists consumers in their purchases. This job ensures that consumers will meet their demands and it also offers consumer satisfaction through good customer service approach. The hourly wage for this job is $8.80 an hour.

Bakery Clerk: A bakery clerk displays the bakery products on the counter’s shelf. This position ensures that customers meet their needs and demands. The average salary for this job is $8 per hour.

Sales Manager: A sales manager holds and ensures that members will meet their targets. He/She or she is responsible in training the sales representative, monitor and evaluate their performance. Product development, identification of new business opportunities and the development of marketing strategies are the goals of a sales manager. The salary for this job ranges from $62 to $67 per hour.
