History of Roy Rogers Restaurant

Roy Rogers  Restaurants is a fast food chain established by the  Marriott Corporation  in 1968 in the  Bailey’s Crossroads  section of  Falls Church, Virginia, on the corner of Leesburg Pike and Carlin Springs Road (5603 Leesburg Pike). As of 2010, Roy Rogers had 47 stores. Roy Rogers’ menu offers hamburgers,  roast beef sandwiches,  fried chicken, french fries  and beverages with adult target customers. When Hardees become the owner, Hardee’s converted the remaining non-franchised  locations into Hardee’s restaurants; many of the new Hardee’s continued to feature Roy Rogers’ fried chicken. Hardee’s finally sold the remaining Roy Rogers locations to McDonald’s,  and  Boston Market  between 1994 and 1996. Now there are 13 Roy Rogers franchisees, with 24 free-standing locations.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Supervisor:This person takes charge of supervising the location stores of the restaurant. He/she will communicate with the store managers and other employees about the activities of the store in achieving the goals set. This position will also participate in the planning and goal setting activities of the management team. He/she will expectedly receive $26K to $28K.

Restaurant Manager: The restaurant manager oversees the operation of the store. He/she makes sure that everyone is working according to the company rules and for the attainment of the company goals. He/she hires, trains and assign employees who are fitted for the job. He/she communicates with the top management regarding any aspects of the business.

Cashier: The cashier receives the money coming from sales. He/she will process different way of payments like cash or card. He/she has enough knowledge as to price and discounts and must work for the satisfaction of the customers too.

Server: The server attends to the needs of the restaurant guests. He/she receives orders and serves them accordingly. He/she promptly and courteously responds to the inquiries and other concerns of the guests.
