Paradise Bakery & Café   was first opened in 1976 in Long Beach, California. The store was then selling freshly baked cookies and muffins; then it has grow into bigger bakery and café already serving delicious brownies, croissants, quiches, breads, soups, salads and sandwiches. Paradise Bakery & Café now operates over 73 company-owned or franchised locations in ten states.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Baker: This is a key position in the bakery since he is the one who will bake and prepare the store’s products according to company standards and customer preferences. He/She is also in charge in greeting all guests, taking all to-go orders, keeping a balanced register, garnishing all dessert items, maintaining a knowledge of all menu products and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of all bakery products.   The average wage for this position starts at $8+ per hour.

Cashier: This person receives the payment of the customers and handles the cash properly. He/She may also assist other bakery staff in responding to the needs of the customers.   The average wage for this position starts at $8+ per hour.

Busser: The busser will perform tasks such as: clearing and setting and resetting tables, sweeping/mopping floors, changing linens and rolling silverware.     You’ll also be in charge of making sure that the kitchen stays clean at all times.   The average wage for this position starts at $8+ per hour.

General Manager: This person takes charge of all restaurant activities including opening, mid and closing shifts of the store. He/She will be coordinating with the staff and resources in a high volume environment; must possess strong sales building skills for he will be engaged in sales planning, must have knowledge of profit and loss, possess excellent communication skills, and a positive, results oriented attitude. he must also evaluate employees’ performance; hire and train employees and see to it that workers will be working towards the attainment of company goals.   The average wage for this position starts at $13+ per hour.
