Marie Callender began in the early 1940s in Orange County, California. This started when Marie, the founder first launched a pie business, delivering freshly baked pies to area restaurants. Marie Callender’s Restaurant and Bakery now operates 89 restaurants in the United States. Marie Callender’s offers a wide variety of classic American foods with flavors like their signature Famous Pot Pies, Freshly Roasted Turkey Dinner, St. Louis Bourbon BBQ Ribs and Gorgonzola, Pecan and Field Greens Salad. Each restaurant also serves a Salad Bar, soups and signature cornbread which are baked fresh and served hot from the oven.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Assistant Manager: Associate Managers are responsible for all front-of-the house operations and assist the General Manager in the restaurant operations to ensure planned sales and profit levels are met or exceeded. Additional responsibilities include: People Provide direction to front-of-house staff, ensuring execution of all employee duties to guarantee maximum guest satisfaction and a quality work environment; assists the General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower; perform/assist all functions for all positions in the restaurant; conduct employment activities to include staffing, scheduling, coaching, training, and conducting performance reviews with all heart-of-the-house personnel, as well as recommending salary increases and handling documented constructive coaching; make sure the thorough training and development of Service Leaders, Certified Trainers, and other non-exempt personnel directly supervised, and the documentation thereof; manage of the facility and equipment through preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, security measures, and adherence to safety and sanitation requirements.

Associate Manager: Associate Managers are responsible for all front-of-the house operations and assist the General Manager in the restaurant operations to ensure planned sales and profit levels are met or exceeded. Additional responsibilities include: assisting the General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower; conducting employment activities to include staffing, scheduling, coaching, training, and conducting performance reviews with all heart-of-the-house personnel, as well as recommending salary increases and handling documented constructive coaching; ensuring that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, according to all established procedures, performance standards, and specifications; ensuring the unit’s compliance to efficiency and service standards with a sufficient number of well-trained and productive employees.

Cook/Baker : This position is responsible in preparing food according to the restaurant   specifications in a timely manner. He/She must observe all food safety standards including proper food preparation.

Food Production Manager: The eemployment activities of this person include staffing, scheduling, coaching, training, and conducting performance reviews with all heart-of-the-house personnel. He/She is engage in planning qualify food production and will also calculate food production based on different factors. He/She mans the people in the food production area.
