History of Jerry’s Famous Deli

Jerry’s Famous Deli Started in year 1978 when the owner Ike Starkman opened its flagship location in Studio City, CA. From then on, it stands out as an American restaurant with unique mix foods, high quality service and an excellent atmosphere for people to dine. Jerry’s is the most loved restaurant with its menu of over 600 traditional deli and dining favorites, moderately priced products, delivery and catering services.

Jerry’s has developed loyal customers and has been popular for tourists. That success is due to the concept was a natural for expansion, and after a decade in the business a new restaurant chain was born. Within the last 28 years, Jerry’s proceeded to open nine successful stores throughout Southern California and South Florida.

Presently, with a total of 10 restaurants in California and Florida (operating as Jerry’s Famous Deli, Solley’s, and Rascal House), and the Epicure Market catering to the South Beach’s gourmets – Jerry’s is still the leading restaurant. With in-store dining 24 – hours a day, takeout, and rapidly growing delivery and catering services, more great things are surely on the menu for JFD, Inc.

Job Description/Wage Ranges

Food Server: As a restaurant server, you have the duty to answer questions about the menu, take orders and bring beverages and food to customers. After the meal, you add up the amount owed on the bill, and take payment from the customer, and give change when necessary; and you are also responsible of taking out the plates and other utensils on the table. The hourly rate ranges $8 to $9.

Restaurant Manager: This position oversees the overall satisfaction and experience of customers in the restaurant.   He/She is to ensure that each customer is welcomed into the establishment and seated in a timely manner.   For those who are considered special patrons, he may personally take orders, ensuring that top of the line service is delivered.   He/She will also be the one to resolve any issues in order to secure customer satisfaction in compliance with company policies.
