The comopany’s history can be traced starting 1992 when Arthur Hannaford also began selling high-quality fruits & vegetables from a produce cart on the Portland, Maine, waterfront. The said one-horse cart became Hannaford Supermarkets, a leading store providing fresh products to customers throughout Northern New England and New York.It has now a total of 179 stores. All stores offer highest-quality produce, meat and deli products; good prices and great value; and first-class customer service.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Systems Analyst:  Strong expertise in PeopleSoft tools such as PeopleTools, Application Engine and SQR. The duties and responsibilities include providing leadership to project teams consisting of internal and contracted associates; providing technical guidance in the form of creating and reviewing application design and development; coordinating the activities of other Information Technology associates (infrastructure, data resources, support center, ISO) in meeting project and corporate objectives; providing technical guidance in the creation and review of application and data designs with the goal of producing extensible, scalable and maintainable applications using defined development standards; planning and executing quality assurance activities, including overseeing and coordinating the efforts of contractors and business associates

Pharmacy Manager:  Responsible for financial performance of the department including, but not limited to, sales growth, maximizing gross margins and productivity, controlling inventory and expenses. Ensure that all pharmacy department personnel provide outstanding customer service. He/She is   responsible for developing, training and management of staff pharmacists, and assisting in the interview of potential hires;  hiring, training, and developing pharmacy technicians; managing performance of all department personnel through annual performance assessments and ongoing coaching and disciplinary efforts.

Assistant Customer Service Manager: Treat all associates with fairness, dignity, and respect. Provide recognition of accomplishments and offer constructive counseling when necessary. Ensure department associates are properly trained by certified trainers. Maintain solid communication in the department and throughout the organization. Observe and ensure compliance with company sanitation, safety, and food safety standards. Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures. Handle cash pickups and change orders as requested and log as required. Assign fixed activities to office/service center/front end associates during idle periods. Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled in a prompt and orderly manner with the most immediate attention given to refrigerated and other perishable items. Support and comply with all company safety standards. Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed. Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards. Ensure that all of the various types of sales transactions and media accepted by the store are handled in strict accordance with established company policies and procedures including full compliance with any legal requirements.

Cashier: This person receives the payment of the customers. He/She has to show excellent customer service and must be knowledgeable in the price and price changes.
