History of Hamricks

Hamrick’s started in the year 1945 when Edna and Oliver Hamrick bought a small grocery store; then, the couple began selling closeout fabrics. At present, the Hamrick family still follows their parent’s dream- selection, quality, price and a pleasant environment to shop in.

Hamrick’s operates 21 store locations in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia.   The Corporate Office is located in Gaffney, SC along with the distribution and wholesale center.   Hamrick’s offers name brand and high quality clothing, a popular shoe department, and home accessory and gift departments at affordable prices for everyone in the family.     It also designs several of its own private labels Nikki, Southern Lady, Links, Company Collection and N Touch.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Retail Management/Management Trainee: The selected individual will assist in all aspects of store management and employee development; training will occur in our Gaffney, SC retail store. Must be available for relocation within North or South Carolina based on company needs. The selected candidate will work with management/supervisors to oversee customer service, financial responsibilities, merchandising, employee training and development, loss prevention and other aspects of retail management.   The average wage for this position can start at $11 per hour.

Sales Associates:   The responsibilities of the person in this position include: generating sales and achieving personal and store goals; serving as an expert on product knowledge to provide exceptional customer service; emphasizing a positive work environment that is fun and creative; showing pride in your work and a passion for the product and your business; assist in merchandising, display maintenance, and visual changes according to company standards.   The average wage for this position can start at $8 per hour.

Assistant Store Manager: Assistant Store Managers create a friendly, energized vibe that is service driven and fun. His responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following: drive sales and achieve personal and store goals; assist in managing all aspects of a product driven retail operation to provide exceptional customer service.   The average wage for this position can start at $11 per hour.

Cashier: The cashier receives payment from the customers. He/She must also be knowledgeable about the products and its prices-price adjustments and discounts. He/She must deal with clients with utmost courtesy.   The average wage for this position can start at $8 per hour.
