History of Drug Mart

Drug Mart started in the year 1969 with its first store in Elyria, Ohio. Now, it operates more than 70 stores in Ohio, Dayton and Columbus. The company prides to offer their products at low prices and also provide excellent customer service.

Drug Mart sells products in wide array of choices from health and beauty aids to household merchandise; small appliances, paint, hardware and auto accessories; magazines, greeting cards, paper products, groceries, frozen foods, school & office supplies, and seasonal merchandise.

Drug Mart’s pharmacies provide customized computer system and electronic prescription transfer. Pharmacists of Drug Mart also offer testing, screening and disease management services.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Store Manager: This person is the in charge in taking care of the overall store operations and activities. He/She must direct, monitor and manage the store in accordance to company goals as well as ensure customer satisfaction. He/She is also in charge of hiring and training of new employees. He/She must see to it that everyone is working accordingly. He/She expects to receive a salary of $29k to $49k per year.

Assistant Manager: The assistant manager works with the general manager in managing the overall operations of the store he is assigned. He/She works to establish sales goals, plan out activities to attain the goals and hire and training potential employees to be deployed in different stores. He/She supports with the store manager regarding their activities in the particular store. He/She monitors store performances as well. The successful candidates must expect an annual salary of $38k to $41k.

Pharmacist: This person may perform administrative job, buy and sell pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical merchandise. He/She will also review prescriptions to ensure accuracy, ascertain the needed ingredients, and evaluate their suitability; provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage; order and purchase pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies, and drugs, maintain stock and store and handle it properly. This position has an annual rate of $51k to $56k.
