Job Description / Wage Average

Character Performer: This type of Character must be able to portray or imitate the personality of a famous figure such as cartoon character and action heroes. One must study and do a lot of practice to be able to get in character of the figure one is assigned to. Some of the character performer must undergo training to make one’s act authentic. Performing includes entertaining guest through different ways such as dancing, singing and at times by merely imitating the action, voice and gesture of a character. This performer can be in mascots, costumes and make-ups. The wage average of this position per hour ranges from $6-$8.

Musicians: In parades and several performances of Disney characters, the musician will set the mood for such activities. The musicians may do solo acts as well as play together in a band. Instruments such as trumpets, drums, piano, guitar, trombone, clarinets are few of the instruments played live or recorded for a particular theme of activities. These Musicians play in indoor and outdoor settings. The wage average wage of this position is $9.00.

Airport Representatives: Airport representatives are the first in line to welcome and greet guests when they arrive for a vacation in the Disney Resort. They are to monitor arriving flights, delays and flight changes. They are also responsible in checking in guests for hotels and loading motor coaches for departures. One must possess a pleasing personality and ensure a festive, welcoming vibe to the guests in order for the guests to feel welcome when they arrive at the resort. The wage average of this position per hour is $8.25.

Attraction Host and Hostesses: This job is to orient and present Disney’s attraction to the guest. They load and unload attractions, operate rides, deliver narrations and is responsible for audience control. They can work both indoors and outdoors. In dealing with guest just like in any other positions one must have a pleasing personality and a positive attitude to set a happy mood for guest. The wage average for this position per hour is $7.70.

Cosmetology Host and Hostesses: Cosmetology Host and Hostesses are the people responsible in making the different looks of the Performers. They apply make-up and teach performers how to apply them. They are also responsible in maintaining audio animatronics figures across the park. The wage average for this position per hour is $10.75.
