History of Budget Rental Car

Budget Rent a Car System, Inc. is an American car rental company that was established in 1958 in Los Angeles, California by Morris Mirkin. Budget’s operations are headquartered in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township, New Jersey.

With its innovative fleet of 10 cars the company lived up to the ‘Budget’ name by undercutting the daily and per mile rental rates of the launched airport based car rental companies. Mirkin was joined in 1959 by Julius Lederer. In 1960 the headquarters was moved to Chicago, Illinois and the rental fleet swelled with franchised and completely owned rental outlets.

Manager: As a Manager you will plan, direct, or else organize the operations of companies or public and private sector organizations. Includes owners and managers who head small business establishments whose duties are mostly managerial. The average wage is $47,119 a year.

Sales Specialist: As the Sales Specialist of the company you will be performing the following duties:

• Manages the activities of subordinates.
• Informs and helps customers regarding technical and specialized merchandise, demonstrates use upon request.
• Identifies need for materials and merchandise,identifies criteria and selects vendor to acquire specific merchandise meeting identified criteria, such as price, quality, quantity, and delivery date, and places orders.
• Coordinates activities with purchasing, as involved to meet unit and University needs, Arizona Board of Regents policies, and state and federal statutes.

The average wage for this job is $10 — $18 an hour.

Sales Associate: A Sales Associate is accountable for maintaining outstanding customer service as per Company standards, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets. Below are some of your daily tasks and responsibilities:

• Make sure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a welcoming environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product information and all other aspects of customer service.
• Sustain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.

The average salary for this job is $7— $13 an hour.

Customer Service Representative: As a Customer Service Representative your duties include receiving and placing telephone calls. Maintains solid customer connections by means of handling their questions and concerns with rapidity and professionalism. Performs data entry and uses software programs. Also may need research skills to trouble shoot customer problems. Excellent communication abilities are essential. The average wage for this position is $10.12 an hour.

Customer Service Manager:  Hires, trains and supervises member of the customer service department. Resolves hard issues regarding client complaints and other matters. Works directly with managers in other departments, such as sales, on updating policies and procedures for client services. The average wage for this job is $9 — $13 an hour.
