Job Description / Average Wage
Team Member: You will be responsible for everything in the gas station. You will help stock shelves, you will run the cash register, as well as clean the inside, as well as the outside parking lot. You will empty trash cans, fill up coffee machines, as well as make sure that the food is all being cooked properly. This job generally won’t require any experience unless you want to move up to a higher position such as the manager. The average wage is $7 to $9 a hour.
Shift Manager: You will run a shift, and oversee all the employees working for the day. You will assign tasks, as well as help with whatever jobs that need to be done. This job description is fairly similar to the team member job. You will answer to the owner, or main manager. This job pays from $7 to $11 a hour.
Maintenance: This job will more than likely require you to help with many other gas stations. You’re going to assist the store with any problems that they have such as broken shelving, food machinery problems, lights, etc. This job is going to pay anywhere from $8 to $12 a hour, depending on your experience.
Gas Station Manager: This position is going to require that you run the entire gas station itself. You’re going to be in charge of opening, as well as closing the gas station. Some gas stations are going to be opened for 24 hours. These will generally require more attention. You’re going to help with hiring employees, assign tasks and more. The average wage is anywhere from $9 to $15 a hour.
