History of Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut was formed back in 1958 in Wichita Kansas by Dan and Frank Carney.  Today, it has grown to be one of America’s largest pizza franchise chains.  Pizza Hut offers an array of food ranging from pizza to buffalo wings, breadsticks, and more.  They run over 34,000 restaurants worldwide.

Job Descriptions / Wage Averages

Delivery Driver: You will be solely responsible for delivering the pizzas to homes that order out for delivery.  This will usually be less than 10 miles from your workplace.  You will need to supply your own car.   The job of a delivery driver is pretty easy, you receive the orders from customers, double check to make sure you’re delivering the right pizza, drop it off and then continue with that process. This job is going to pay anywhere from $7 to $10 plus tips.

Cook: You will be responsible for cooking everything from pizza to bread sticks.  You will have to ensure that it meets Pizza Hut’s guidelines, and that it’s cooked to perfection!  You will also help with prepping the kitchen.  You will have to help open and close it down.  The cooks are the ones that make the food.  They cook the pizzas, make the pastas, help with the buffet and make everything the waitress/waiter hands out.
The average wage for this job is anywhere from $7 to $9 a hour.

Shift Manager: This job is responsible for overseeing  shift.  You’re going to make sure that the floor is ran properly, as well as take orders, assist customers, and more.  This job pays an average of $8 to $10 a hour.

Server: Your duties will include taking food / drink orders, as well as ensuring that the customer gets his/her food on time.  You will want to ensure that everything is cooked to perfection, as well as make sure that the customer is getting everything he/she wants.  The average server gets $4 to $7 a hour plus tips.

Assistant Manager: You’re going to answer to the main manager themselves.  When the main manager isn’t present, you’re going to help open and close down the shop.  You will also help with customer complaints, as well as assisting the customers with any problems that they may have.  There may be times when you have to complete behind the scenes paperwork and more.  The average wage is anywhere from $11 to $15 a hour.

General Manager: Working as a general manager will ensure that you watch over the entire store.  You will usually answer to the franchise owner himself.  You’re going to help with creating the schedule, assigning tasks, as well as help associates with any jobs that they have.  You will also answer any complaints that the customer may have.    When you’re the store manager you’re in charge of pretty much everything.  You will want to create the schedules, assign the jobs each day, keep up on the finances, cleanliness and make sure your customers are happy. The average wage for this position is anywhere from $29,000 to $55,000 a year.
