IHOP Manager Salary

Is it possible to get breakfast after the morning hours? This is the question IHOP has answered for several years now. Not only have they proven that breakfast meals are in demand not just in the mornings, but also, they have established that it is a profitable business as well. IHOP offers breakfast meals such as pancakes and omelettes but they do offer lunch in their menu as well. Founded in 1958 by Jery Lapin, Al Lapin and Albert Kallis IHOP has grown into 1,500 restaurants I all the 50 states.

As an IHOP manager, you will be responsible in making sure that the restaurant functions in an orderly manner and that operation goes smoothly. The usual checking of inventory for stocks as well as equipment used should be the first order of the day as this is necessary to get things going.

Franchise owners may visit once in a while but the job ultimately lands on the shoulders of the managers. Assistant Manager

  • Salary: Salary starts at $26,000 but experienced employees can earn as much as $39,000.
  • Bonuses: Performance is a factor in handing out bonuses. If the owner finds that the employee exceeds expectations they can get $4,800 cash bonus.
  • Profit Sharing: There are other restaurants that allow profit sharing but the company does not provide this option for the meantime.
  • Stock Options: No stock options are available for provision if you are in this position.

General Manager

  • Salary: General Managers are eligible to get higher pay and can receive anywhere from $67,000 to $73,000 annually. Factors considered is the length of experience the employee has when considering the amount to be given.
  • Bonuses: Employees in this position are eligible to get cash bonus from $8,000 to $19,000 depending on how well the store performed.
  • Profit Sharing: Additional incentive for general managers is the ability for profit sharing which offers a good sum of $10,000.
  • Stock Options: Although there are several bonus incentives that you can get, no stock options are available.

Assistant Manager

  • Salary: Assistant managers get a monthly pay that ranges from $3,330 to $3,666 or an estimated $42,000 annually.
  • Bonuses: Aside from the basic pay, you can get $1,927 to $2,099 bonus, all depends on performance as well as the discretion of the owner.
  • Profit Sharing: An amount between $956 and $1,046 is available for profit sharing.
  • Stock Options: Although no stock option is available there are other pay that this position can provide. An average between $3,351 and $3,617 are provided as Commissions on Sales as well as Tips.

Manager on Duty

  • Salary: Manager on duty gets anywhere from $2,282 to $2,517 monthly. It also depends on the experience the employee has gained throughout his career.
  • Bonuses: Cash bonuses are not to be expected from the company. They do not provide this for now.
  • Profit Sharing: There aren’t any profit sharing options offered by the company.
