Web Information Architect: The Information Architect will be mostly involved in research and design efforts for Virgin America’s websites, web applications, and mobile applications. The candidate must be a great communicator and be able to effectively communicate their ideas, but also listen to constructive feedback and be able to work in conjunction with business and technical partners. This position will work directly with web developers, business analysts, and business stakeholders. The candidate must understand, translate and refine business needs and requirement to site maps, page architecture, and user interface diagrams, conduct end user needs assessment and task analysis using appropriate techniques and work closely and iteratively with developer and business team members including managing their expectations, presenting, and facilitating design sessions. The annual average salary offered is $72,000 to $82,000.

Maintenance Controller: The person in this position will provide safe, reliable air transportation at the lowest possible cost, while supporting a superior guest experience. Also he will serve as a Maintenance Controller ensuring a safe, reliable and cost efficient maintenance operation while working with Virgin America’s Technicians and maintenance providers throughout our system. The candidate will provide safety and compliance while ensuring the airworthiness of Virgin America’s fleet. Virgin America’s Maintenance Controller team maintains 24/7 technical oversight of our A320 family fleet of aircraft. He/She will ensure all maintenance performed is in accordance with FAA and company manual requirements. Maintenance Controllers are the central communication point on the technical status for the day to day operation and out of service aircraft. Work directly in the operations control center with the operations manager, maintenance planning, material provider, dispatchers, guest services and crew scheduling ensuring all team members are constantly updated with aircraft status. As a Maintenance Controller of the company you will receive an annual salary of $63,000-$68,000.

Maintenance Planner: The planning department is tasked with organizing data, materials, facilities, aircraft downtime and eligible manpower to accomplish Virgin America’s maintenance program on aircraft, engines, APU, landing gear, IFE and any components that have a discard or else restore task. The main areas of responsibility are as follows:

  • Prepares regular maintenance items associated with scheduled daily operational maintenance.
  • Runs scheduled maintenance forecast reports.

Expected income for annual position is $65,000-69,000.
