Job Description/Wage Average
Baker: This position is responsible to respond to customers; assist other staff; clean and sanitize department; operate scale, industrial mixer; properly fill and rotate product; operate oven, industrial mixer, doughnut fryer. Stocks and rotates product. Inspect bakery products for freshness. Faces merchandise in the department; prepares and packages product.
Cashier: The position is responsible for ringing-up customers’ grocery orders; greet customers; scan grocery order; process coupons and collects payment; operate cash register and scanner. The salary rate is $8 to $9 per hour.
Utility Clerk: This position is responsible to bag groceries; carry out groceries (Strack & Van Til only); respond to customers; assist other staff; clean floor and restrooms; collect carts; back shop merchandise; assists customers; bags groceries; faces merchandise in the store; answers calls for price checks/spills; carries out groceries; cleans general shopping areas; restocks back shop merchandise.
Deli Clerk: This position is responsible to respond to customers; assist other staff; clean and sanitize department; operate scale, slicer; properly fill and rotate product; operate cash register.
Store Manager: Manages department to insure that goals are met or exceeded in the following areas for meat, lunch meat, and the two combined: (1) sales, (2) gross profit, (3) labor percentage, (4) payroll tax, (5) supplies, (6) health and welfare, (7) percentage contribution to overhead, and (8) dollar contribution to overhead. The annual salary is $36k to $38K.
Dishwasher: This person takes charge of maintaining the cleanliness of the utensils and the kitchen equipment. He/she must maintain a clean kitchen.
Host: The host will supervise the personnel in the dining area to ensure quality customer service. He/she escorts customers to the dining area and provide a space for them. He/she manages bookings as well.
