The opening the first Tully’s store was in 1992 at Seattle, Washington with the undying promise to offer the finest coffees, Arabica beans from the world’s best coffee-growing regions.The coffees are crafted by hand in small batches using vintage cast iron roasters from the 1950’s while other coffee companies have turned to an automated process. This is due to the company’s belief that it takes all five senses of a highly-skilled artisan to achieve the perfect flavor of the coffee. Job Description/Salary Averages

Baristas: The baristas are responsible for selling coffee and merchandise, assisting customers, and making the Tully’s coffee drinks. Baristas work full- or part-time and are compensated on an hourly basis at $8 per hour.

Assistant Managers: These persons should learn all aspects of running a Tully’s store. Their primary responsibilities include selling coffee and merchandise, assisting customers, and making our coffee drinks. Additionally, our Assistant Managers are responsible for paperwork, cash-handling, scheduling, and store management in the absence of a Store Manager. The hourly rate is $11.

Store Managers: Store Managers are responsible for managing all aspects of a Tully’s store. This includes selling coffee and merchandise, assisting customers, making our coffee drinks, employee schedules, deposits, paperwork and community involvement. Store Managers are additionally responsible for maintaining employee communication within their stores, other stores in their region, and with the corporate office. The annual salary is $35K to $37K.

Accounting Clerk: This position has the responsibilities that include calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records; compiling and sorting documents like checks, posting details of business transactions like funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts, using calculator or computer; computing and recording charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals and other responsibilities assigned in the accounting department. The annual salary ranges $30K to $32K.
