History of Steak Escape

The Steak Escape was founded by Ken Smith and Mark Turner in the year 1982 with its first store opened in Columbus, Ohio. Its existence for more than 25 years is due to the neighborhood’s love for cheesesteak. Steak Escape started as a small store. This humble beginnings turned into several Steak Escape restaurants across the U.S., Mexico and in Bahrain.

The restaurant believes that the ideal way to treat a customer is to serve them quality food that’s freshly prepared before their eyes, in an atmosphere full of fun. Steak Escape signature Sandwiches, grilled and chilled Salads, Smashed Potatoes and ice-cold Lemonade. Every customer will find 100% steak, whole white meat chicken breast, vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh onions, mushrooms and other veggies, real cheese, fresh-baked bread and real Idaho potatoes.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Assistant Restaurant Manager: The assistant manager is engaged in directing the operations of the restaurant. He will execute exceptional food quality and guest service through the training and development of the restaurant staff. He/She will work in building sales, controlling costs, and should be learning about the business operations.

Server:  The server serves the foods according to the company standards and the customer preferences. He/She is to ensure that customers’ needs are responded promptly; he will also help to maintain a friendly atmosphere in the restaurant.

Prep Cook: The prep cook prepares/cook foods for the guest. He/She is to make sure that all kitchen equipment, kitchen utensils and the working areas are well maintained and cleaned; coordinate prep amounts with the manager, follow recipe instructions, ensure safe food handling.

Cashier: The person assigned in this position is to handle the money from the payments of the customers. He/She will also help in attending to customer inquiries and needs.

Dishwasher: This person ensures well cleaned and sanitized dishes, utensils and cook wares. He/She has to make sure that the area where the dishes will be stored is clean.
