Job Description / Average Wage

Sales / Marketing: This position will include generating new customer contacts through cold calling, networking and marketing. Usual work days could include talking to existing customers, making communication with recent potential customers to build a business relationship, giving the consumer a knowledge on the abilities to create graphics, signage and promotional item needs while working with the design and production staff and working on informational marketing products for the customers. They require a team player, with a great work ethic and attitude and the willingness to do whatever it takes to make it happen. This is not for the weak at heart it, will take a hardworking experienced individual especially in today’s economy to make it happen. Starting pay will vary based on your past experience. Candidate must have a sales or marketing experience. It would be nice if you are familiar with the some of the different products or language throughout the Sign/ Printing Industry, but not necessary. The average yearly salary for a sales/marketing position is around $45,500.

Graphic Artist / Sign Production Associate: This position robustly prefers candidates with 2 years of design and production experience in the sign making industry. Experience with Flexi-Sign, SignLab, CAS-Mate, Inspire, or Graphix advantage will be serious as well as expertise in any of the following programs for example CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Freehand, Pagemaker, Publisher, or Quark Express. This position will be mainly responsible for both design and production processes for signage, banners, vehicle wraps, window graphics, etc.
In order to make it, this person will acquire the following qualities:

  • Must be well organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Able to keep up in a fast paced environment
  • Able to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of materials, including substrates, vinyls and laminates is preferred
  • Excellent spelling, grammar and math skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

As a Graphic Artist / Sign Production Associate, you can expect to make somewhere between $70.000 annually.
