This company is a subsidiary of Wal-Mart Store, Inc. that offers a chain of membership-only retail warehouse clubs. Its services are provides to over 47 million US members and ranked as the 2nd largest in sales volume. As of 2009, its merchandise operating income was US$1.6 billion.

Job Descriptions / Wage Averages

Cashier: Paid on a hourly basis, you will be responsible for handling customer’s orders.   You will ring up their purchase, as well as assist them with any issues that they may have.   You will also have to load up carts with their purchase, as Sam’s Club doesn’t bag items.   This position pays an average of $8 to $13 a hour.

Assistant Manager: You’re going to more than likely be assigned to a department where you’re going to be in charge of watching over the various duties performed by other employees.   You’re going to assign tasks, as well as help create the schedules.   In your downtime, you will also help the main manager with any various paperwork duties and more.   You may also have to open and close down the store.   The average wage is anywhere from $33,000 to $62,000 a year.

Team Leader: You’re going to do a wide array of managerial duties from daily planning, operations and problem-solving in order for the team to achieve the required and set level of production and service that company desires. You will lead in the manufacturing and merchandising of the products and guarantee that all activities are going smoothly for the employees and customers. The average wage for this job is $12.92 an hour.
