Roly Poly Sandwich Shop first opened in the Buckhead section of Atlanta, Georgia in the year 1996. The company was founded by Linda Wolf and Julie Reid who had been rolling sandwiches in their shops in New Canaan, Connecticut (‘86) and in Key West, Florida (‘96) before settling on Atlanta to officially begin building their franchise system. Today, there are over 125 Roly Poly Sandwich Shops in the entire 24 states.
The varieties of flavors that Roly Poly has in their sandwiches with delicious, unique and original taste make the venture successful. To mention a few, it offers fresh basil chicken salad rolled with crunchy cashews, green leaf lettuce, Roma plum tomatoes, fresh sliced avocado, alfalfa sprouts and spicy Thai hot sauce all rolled in a fresh tortilla. Sandwich recipes developed by Linda and Julie over the past 30 years include fresh herbs and top quality ingredients – Mango Chutney, Red Pepper Hummus, Sundried Tomatoes, Artichoke Hearts, and Fresh Sliced. Job Description/Wage Averages
Sandwich Maker: This position has duties and responsibilities which include: preparing sandwiches to individual order of customers; receiving orders from customers; slicing cold meats and cheese by hand or machine; selecting bread according to order; filling and garnish, such as chopped or sliced onion and lettuce, between bread slices; preparing garnishes for sandwiches, cooking, mixing, and seasoning ingredients to make dressings, fillings, and spreads. The expected hourly salary is in the average of $8.
Delivery Driver: The delivery driver delivers orders of the customers; he must ensure that the products are delivered safely and in good condition as well. He/She may also act as the cashier who will receive the payments of the customers. He/She must also ensure that delivery trucks are in good condition. The hourly rate is in the average of $7.
Server: This position takes orders and serves the orders of the guest. He/She must ensure that the customers’ needs are attended promptly.
