History of PriceRite

PriceRite started in the year 1995 when its first store was opened in West Springfield, MA. Presently, it has grown into several stores located in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.

Since then, it is the Price Rite’s mission to provide their customers with a new way to shop for their families. The company caters to customers who valued quality at affordable prices.

Job Descriptions/ Salary Ranges

Cashier: The person in this position will be the in charge of collecting money in a form of cash or electronic money from the customers’ purchase of goods.   Ringing up customers, you’ll also ensure that they were happy with their purchase as well as make sure that they have all their orders rung up in a timely fashion.   If problems arise, the manager will have to be alerted.   The annual salary ranges $14K to $22K.

Store Manager: The manager oversees all store operational issues including store housekeeping, store administrative duties, physical inventories, price changes. He/She must also effectively manage employee turnover; ensure positive working environment and handle employee issues appropriately and in a timely manner; deal customer problems or complaints accordingly; ensure interior and exterior of store is maintained to company standards; conceptualize marketing programs and implement them; manage store revenue like cash handling, deposit reconciliation and delivery of deposits to bank. The expected annual salary is $54K to $65K.

Sales Associate: This position is basically tasked in generating sales. He/She is to assist and work to meet the sales quota and to work according to the conceptualized marketing agenda. He/She attends to customer needs and inquiries and will also do up-selling if necessary. His expected annual salary is $13K to $17K.

Grocery Department Store Supervisor: This person is responsible for managing the department. He/She supervises the inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational procedures in accordance to company standards. He/She will be the one to plan, order, and process grocery products according to work plan and standards to optimize sales and gross profit. The annual salary ranges $35k to $44k.
