History of Midwest Airlines

Midwest Airlines is an American scheduled passenger airline based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in service from the city’s General Mitchell International Airport. Midwest Airlines also manages regional services under the title Midwest Connect and is holded by Republic Airways Holdings.

In April 2010, parent company Republic Airways Holdings pronounced that Midwest and Frontier Airlines will come together, with the Midwest brand disappearing in the fall of 2011.

Ramp Agent: As a Ramp Agent several of your duties and responsibilities are stated below:

  • Monitor and perform all safety policies and procedures
  • Make sure that customer and airline requirements and procedures are performed in a safe, secure, and suitable manner
  • Activate heavy, motorized machinery/equipment to move baggage, cargo, and cater to and from customer aircraft and lead aircraft into and out of the terminal areas through communicating with pilots

  • Accountable for maintaining safety and security on the ramp.
  • Accompany passengers and special needs customers safely and courteously.
  • Marshall aircrafts in and out of the ramp area.
  • Service aircrafts and ground equipment as wanted.
  • Correspond proficiently with ground personnel and flight crews.
  • Load and unload customer luggage, airfreight and company mail on and off aircraft.

The hourly salary for this position is $8.91.
