Max and Erma started in 1972, whenTodd Barnum and Barry Zacks walked into a sleepy little bar owned by a couple named Max and Erma. After renovating and decorating the restaurant with artifacts and local paraphernalia, Max & Erma’s became a fun, unique place for friends and family. The guests love the all-American food, friendly service and atmosphere and over the years, such made the business successful–delivering a great guest experience. Max and Erma’s only offer the freshest, highest quality ingredients in everything they serve. The restaurant’s delicious products include Chocolate Chip Cookies, Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich, Cajun Shrimp & Pasta, Laredo Steak, Santa Fe Salad, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Hand-Battered Onion rings and our famous Gourmet Hamburgers.
Job Description/Wage Averages
Manager: This person is the key personnel who will lead, train and coach all crew members to provide great guest experiences; uphold the company’s Vision, Values and Culture and have a strong passion to serve; manage the overall operations of the restaurant; maximize sales and restaurant profitability; participate in the interviewing, hiring, training and developing of crew members; fulfill highest level of cleanliness, safety and sanitation; conduct weekly inventory to minimize waste and control costs. The average wage for this particular position can start at $14 per hour.
Cashier: This position has to greet every Guest and merchandise beverages verbally and visually. He/She will primarily handle cash properly, accurately and in a timely manner. The average wage for this particular position can start at $8 per hour.
Busser: This person clears the empty dishes and unused or used utensils in the dining area; polishes and stocks restaurant with silverware; ensures clean linen is on the table when resetting them; fills ice bins with ice; carries bus tubs to Dishwasher; cleans up spills and assists the servers. The average wage for this particular position can start at $8 per hour.
Server: This person has the responsibilities of requesting or taking orders from and serve food and beverages to guests; handling the payments and complaints/concerns of customers. He/She must have the knowledge of service techniques, food and beverage product and practices of responsible alcohol service. The average wage for this particular position can start at $3 per hour plus tips.
