J. Alexander’s is an American restaurant, known for its wood-fired cuisine. Job Description/Wage Averages
Manager: This person must also be chef-driven since the restaurants employ skilled culinary teams trained to execute from-scratch products in high volume. Full-service restaurant experience is a requirement for consideration. This position is in charge in managing the overall restaurant operations and must see to it that everybody is working for the attainment of the company’s goals. The average wage can start at $13 per hour.
Server: This position deals with the guest- serve the needs or orders of the guests; ensures that the guests are provided with a clean, comfortable environment for an unforgettable dining experience; and should make sure that the customers’ needs are well attended. The average wage can start at $2 per hour plus tips.
Bartender: This person prepares beverages according to recipe and customer preferences. He/She is to maintain a well-presented, well-stocked, and clean beverage station. The average wage can start at $8 per hour plus tips.
Dishwasher: This person is responsible in cleaning all dishes, glasses, utensils and kitchen equipment and store them in the right place. The average wage can start at $8 per hour.
Prep Cook: This person is responsible to prepare/cook food for guests; ensure that all equipment, utensils and working areas are organized and cleaned; coordinate prep amounts with managers, follow recipe instructions, use checklists and prep sheets, ensure safe food handling guidelines. The average wage can start at $8 per hour.
Chef: This position is responsible to create menu and dishes, handle high volume of kitchen related jobs and assist in setting food specifications, portion control, recipes and sanitation; he must also control food and labor costs. The average wage can start at $9 per hour.
