Richard J. Bowen, founder and President of Honey Dew Associates, Inc. always had a passion and taste for donuts. In 1973, he opened the first Honey Dew Donuts ® shop in downtown Mansfield, Massachusetts and this made him a local favorite, offering a friendly smile and the finest donuts and coffee around. In the year 1975, this became a franchise business. Three years later Dick introduced the drive-thru concept to New England when he installed one in the Plainville, Massachusetts shop. Now it has 140 shops sprinkled throughout New England. Every location’s menu includes mouth-watering muffins, pastries, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, gourmet flavored coffees, and frozen beverages.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Host/Hostess: This position is in charge in supervising the activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to guests; arranging of dining reservations and arrangements; greeting and escorting the guests, providing menus; responding to complaints; inspecting dining room serving stations to ensure neatness and cleanliness; hiring, training and discharging dining room personnel.

Line Cook:   The line cook takes charge one station on a restaurant line and can be expected to perform a range of duties related to the station like to set up the work station, prep items for service, clean the station and may also perform general duties like cleaning kitchen equipment, organize produce delivery, train a new cook and perform complete inventory.

Restaurant General Manager: This position manage and direct the restaurant operations efficiently and profitably and must ensure that all employees are working  for the attainment of company goals. He/She must to plan, direct and must coordinate a variety of activities of the restaurants. The manager is responsible for the business performance of their restaurant, maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety. He/She has to combine strategic planning, shift pattern organization and day-to-day management activities.

Soup/Pasta/Baker: This person must serve safe, great tasting, fresh, hot, soups, sauces, rice and bread to the guests. He/She must also provide assistance and knowledgeable answers to all questions of the guests about the products and services of the company and must have to maintain all sanitation and presentation standards at all times.
