Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants takes back its roots twenty years ago with the once dream   of bringing together fresh, handcrafted beer and made-from-scratch, world class cuisine which turned out real today in Pacific to Hawaii and Taiwan.

In 1988, the first Gordon Biersch opened in Palo Alto, California. In 1999 it was acquired by Big River Brewing Company and presently, Gordon Biersch operates 30 restaurants in the United States, including Honolulu, Hawaii and three Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants operate in Taiwan.

The restaurant features an on-site brewery where our Brewmasters create their award-winning house beers, as well as limited-time brews that compliment all seasons.  It features German lagers and ales, handcrafted and brewed to perfection, with the commitment to serving the finest and freshest beer possible has led to numerous awards.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Server:  Servers are responsible for helping guests understand the food and other products served by restaurant. He/She is also responsible for helping the guests understand the menu and wine selection; they offer suggestions based on guests’ preferences, and present daily specials. The expected hourly salary averages $9 per hour.

Brewer: This person must have understanding in handling raw materials to be used during the brewing of beer. He/She is to produce high-quality batches of beer; so he must monitor the brewing process and make adjustments in the amount of water, yeast and hops that is added during the fermentation process. Other brewer duties are checking pH and temperature levels to ensure quality and taste; fixing and maintaining brewery equipment; packaging beer, recording production expenses; and delivering beer to customers and distributors. Brewers are an integral part of the restaurant and management team, ensuring the guests have the best brewery restaurant experience available.   The expected annual salary ranges $38K to $41K.

Bartender: This person has the duties and responsibilities which include: liquor cost and inventory control; communicating with Guests and staff ; maintaining the bar area and storeroom; pouring drinks for Servers; serving Guests at bar and bar tables; restocking bar with glassware and drink ingredients

Busser: This position is the charge in the dining room and so he must have a dining room awareness and must ensure overall guest satisfaction.   .
