It was in the year 1911, when Curry’s Art Store was opened by Fred Curry in Toronto. His store offered artist materials and photographic equipment, custom framing and also sold oil paintings, etching and watercolour paintings.
Curry’s had experinced difficult days in business. He/She came to a point when he stocked bartered art materials to struggling artists and thier artworks were also disp[layed and offered for sale in his gallery. In the mid 1950’s, the store became the leading supplier of drafting materials to the Canadian aircraft industry.
Curry’s also began supplying to art design houses, advertising agencies, and other institutions. Curry’s now has 10 stores located in Southern Ontario with huge selection of quality artists materials at affordable prices.

Sales Representatives: The company is in need of enthusiastic, dedicated and responsible individuals to join team. The ideal candidate will have a solid work ethic and strong communication skills. Display, merchandising and customer service experience. The sales representative must have passion for the arts. He/She needs to work hand in hand with the managers in order to attain sales goals. Every sales representative receives a salary rate of $7-$8 per hour.
Merchandiser: If you are a Merchandiser, you are responsible in the distribution of products of Curry’s Arts Store. He/She ensures that the products delivered to the customers have the right quantity, payments, and delivered in the right place. He/She must communicate with retailers and buyers, ensure that the products are delivered to its designated place, do planning and giving price tags on each product depending on the quantity, sales, deals and demand, make time to time check on the stock products, check and analyze the sales of the product, make deals with buyers and prospect buyers, keep important documents regarding the product such as receipts, order slips, etc. The salary rate is $10k per annual.
Cashier: The cashier will be the one to receive the payments of the customers. The payments may be in a form of cash or through credit cards. Hence, the cashier must be knowledgeable in handling such kind of payment.
