Job Description/Wage Averages
Cashiers: The cashiers work directly with the restaurant manager, servers, and guests in all sales transactions. Cashiers are responsible for screening and directing incoming phone calls, as well as handling to-go and pick-up food orders. Basically, the cashiers help the servers in the processing of bills-of-sale and credit card transactions. The expected salary ranges $8 to $9 per hour.
Dishwasher: Working in the back of the kitchen, you’re going to help with cleaning dishes, putting away pots and pans as well as making sure that the tables are kept clean. You’re going to assist with wiping down tables, mopping floors and more. The average rate for this position starts at $8 per hour.
Assistant Manager: This position work hand in hand with the restaurant general manager. He will help in providing exceptional food quality and guest service; help in the training and development of their staff. He/She will focus on building sales, controlling costs, and learning all aspects of our business. The expected annual salary ranges $37k to $52k.
General Manager: This position makes sure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably and everybody is working in order to achieve the company’s goals. He/She will engage in planning, directing, and coordinating a variety of activities of the restaurants. The manager is responsible for the business performance of their restaurant, maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety. The expected annual salary ranges $38k to $41k.
Shift Manager: The shift manager is the lead in each shifty. The shift manager has greet the arriving customers with a smile and make sure they have comfortable seating. The shift manager will ensure that all workers arrive in time and are presentable. Food has to be served in time and in accordance to company procedures and guests’ preferences. The salary rate ranges $10 to $11 per hour.
