Carrows Restaurants are chain of casual dining restaurants that provide excellence food from breakfast to dinner. With over 89 restaurants in California and 2 branches in Nevada, Carrows is one of the quick growing restaurant chains in the nation.

Carrows was founded by David G. Nancarrow in Santa Clara, California in 1970 as the Carrows Hickory Chip Restaurant. Carrows and its sister chain Coco’s Bakery Restaurants were obtained by Advantica Restaurant Group in 1996. In 2002 they were purchased by Catalina Restaurant Group, Inc.

Job Description / Average Wage

Team Member: As a team member at Carrows Restaurants, among the duties you need to complete are food preparation, customer service, and the day to day tasks involved in the operation. Above all, your main responsibility is to interact with customers which include, taking and receiving orders, processing payments, and responding correctly to whatever the customer needs. Team members also need to arrange the products based on the company’s service philosophy.     The Team Member hourly salary is $5.00, plus tips.

Cashier: As a candidate to this position you need to have the capacity to operate point of sale terminal or a cash register. Candidate’s main responsibility is to process customer’s orders and perform inventory. You also need to expand a comprehensive knowledge about all the products and services the company is offering because there are times when you need to answer some of the customer’s inquiries.     As the cashier of the restaurant your hourly salary is $7.65 an hour.

General Manager: The hired candidate basically oversees the entire operation of the store. They also have the responsibility to carry out employee scheduling, lead the daily operations, take in charge of the store, and make sure that one hundred percent customer service satisfaction is implemented at all times. The focus required for a General Manager at Carrows Restaurants is to develop an excellent marketing strategy. Besides to that, General Managers also have direct responsibility for several restaurants on a daily basis.     The average General Manager salary is $48,000.

Assistant Manager: The job to this position is to report honestly to General Managers and since they are second in command, they will be supervising all team members on assigned shift. Other related duties include assisting the General Manager when hiring personnel, orienting and or evaluating team members, train newly hired members about all the aspects of the operations and they are also responsible for the implementation of store policies and guidelines. Assistant Managers are also responsible for keeping the restaurant premises clean using the company’s standard sanitation program.     Assistant Manager average salary is $42,000.

Shift Lead: One of the major responsibilities of this position is to guarantee the compliance of the store’s standard operating procedures. They also need to fill in a position chart that should be properly balanced for operational excellence and make sure that all team members are meeting the company’s standards in uniform and personal hygiene.   Also responsible for the implementation of the company’s production guides and product level system and ensures that the kitchen stations use the proper procedures for food preparation and handling.     The hourly salary offered for a Shift Lead position is $9.31.
