Job Description / Average Wage

Team Member / Counter Associate: Working the front counter, you’re going to take orders as customers come into the store.   You will help get their order, as well as take cash, give change, as well as accept coupons.   You will also assist them with any problems / questions that they have.   A team member also has many various other duties such as cleaning the restaurant, stocking items, running the drive thru, as well as more.   The average wage is $7 to $9 a hour.

Kitchen Staff / Baker: Working in the kitchen, you will help prep bagels, you will assist with many other various foods as well such as sandwiches, soups and more.   You will help prep the kitchen, as well as help open, and close it down.   The average wage is around $7 to $9 a hour.

Assistant Manager / Supervisor: Working in the supervisor role, you will be in charge of helping with opening, as well as closing down the restaurant.   You will help assign tasks, as well as make sure that all employees are doing their job.   You will also assist many of the team members with their various jobs.   The average wage starts around $12+ a hour.

Counter Associate: This person will provide the best guest service possible while creating a delicious choice from the compnay’s hearty menu! His responsibilities are to provide quick efficient service to guests under the supervision of the General Manager, Assistant Manager and/or Shift Supervisor; handle cash transactions with basic math and register skills; produce the freshest and highest quality product to our guests; ensure a safe and clean environment for other team members and guests; support and follow all marketing programs and trends, while suggestively selling promotional items; ensure applicable paperwork is up to date; demonstrates and models an understanding to commitment to Bruegger’s mission statement.

Baker: This person will ensure a safe and clean environment for team members and guests; Prepare and produce enough quality product to ensure availability for each shift; provide excellent guest service that creates the raving fan; maintain all safety policies and procedures; leads by example and shares knowledge with new and existing team members; performs counter duties when needed; support and follow all marketing programs; adjust bake levels to account for promotional periods; help ensure the financial budget is met in terms of baking cost of goods.

Shift Supervisors: As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll provide the best guest service possible while creating a quality product!   This position may be responsible for opening and closing a bakery.   Responsibilities Include: providing quick efficient service to guests under the supervision of the General Manager or Assistant Manager; handle cash transactions with basic math and register skills; produce the freshest and highest quality product to our guests; ensure a safe and clean environment for other team members; support and follow all marketing programs and trends, while suggestively selling promotional items; ensure applicable paperwork is up to date; demonstrates and models an understanding to commitment to Bruegger’s mission statement; properly opening and closing the bakery as scheduled according to Bruegger’s policies and procedures; maintains floor control during shifts; demonstrates ability to increase guest satisfaction; accurately completes paperwork using BagelNet; supervises guest service at counter and at registers

General Manager: As a General Manager, you’ll take on a leadership role ensuring the best guest service possible, a quality product is produced and drive sales and determination in your bakery! Responsibilities are to: Ensure safety and sanitation for team members and guests; oversee product quality with consistent planning, preparation and delivery of the freshest quality bagels, coffee and other products; create an environment in the bakery that builds energy, vitality, and fun in order to produce happy guests and team members; recruit, interview and select outstanding guest service-oriented team members for your bakery; assist Area Manager in recruiting bakery management personnel; provide termination, counseling, disciplinary and recognition action; ensure profitability through effective management of cost of goods, labor, controllable expenses, utilities, repairs, worker’s compensation and other aspects of bakery management.
