Applebee’s is a chain of restaurant that focuses in serving Americen themed dishes. They also serve alcoholic beverages in bars except in locations not permitted by law. There are currently 2,000 Applebee’s located in the United States and 16 other countries all over the world. The restaurant has been purchased by IHOP in 2007.

 

Applebee’s manager should always keep the level of standard established during the entire years it has been operating. The manager needs to make sure that everything from the kitchen to the dining area is clean and that the staff inside works efficiently. Freezers should be checked to maintain freshness of ingredients and that the preparation area meets health standards.

 

The dining area should be in order to improve guests impression. From time to time you may have to assist the receptionist and provide necessary instructions. Attending to customer complaints may be required as well. Reports are necessary to be provided to owners to give them updates on daily operations.

 

Assistant Manager

General Manager

• Bonuses: Bonuses are provided by the company for this position and its between $2,000 to $15,000.
• Profit Sharing: Although a bigger salary is given to the general manager, they are not entitled to get profit sharing.
• Stock Options: Like profit sharing, the same cannot be said for stock options since it’s not provided by Applebee’s.

Restaurant Manager

• Salary: Depending on any related experience, a restaurant manager can get anywhere from $32,000 to $50,000 of basic pay excluding any bonuses.
• Bonuses: Bonuses are provided by the company for this position and you can get a range that starts with $300 to $9,235.
• Profit Sharing: Profit sharing is not provided by the company and is not part of the salary package the company provides.
• Stock Options: The cash bonus is the only additional incentive by the Applebee’s, which means that stock options are also not available.

Kitchen Manager

• Salary: A range between the amounts of $38,000 to $44,000 is considered as the basic salary of a kitchen manager. This depends on the experience as well.
• Bonuses: The typical bonus a kitchen manager gets from the company is from $1,902 to $13,000. The owner usually provides the amount of bonus to be given based on performance.
• Profit Sharing: Unfortunately, profit sharing is not considered as part of the salary package the employee can get.
• Stock Options: No other incentive is provided which makes stock option unavailable as well.

Assistant General Manager
