Long Horn Steakhouse Job Application
History of Long Horn Steakhouse
George McKerrow Jr. started the first Long Horn Steakhouse in Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia. Then it was referred to as Long Horn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon. At first the restaurant initially struggled financially, however, a snow storm stranded many motorists and the owner offered them drinks for only $1. This helps the restaurant to make a huge profit and be successful. In 1990 the franchise had spread across the south and eventually into Puerto Rico.
Finally in August of 2007 Long Horn Steakhouse was purchased by Darden Restaurants becoming one of the many sister chains of restaurants owned by the company. This restaurant has a Western/Texan theme with each location having oil paintings, photos, and selected Western memorabilia that support this theme. They are really known for serving Texas Tonion and Wild West Shrimp among many other delicious dishes
