History of Rutgers University

Rutgers is the State University of New Jersey frequently referred to as Rutgers University or just Rutgers, is the biggest institution for higher education in New Jersey. It was initially chartered as Queen’s College in 1766 and is the eighth oldest college in the United States. Rutgers was formerly a private university affiliated with the Dutch Reformed Church and admitted only male students, but developed into a coeducational public research university. Rutgers is one of only two colonial colleges that afterward became public universities, the other being The College of William and Mary.

Job Description and Average Wage

Administrative Assistant: This report to the Director and Associate Director of the Office for Diversity and academic success in the Sciences. The position will interrelate expansively with undergraduates and other persons across the New Brunswick/Piscataway Campus in promoting academic attainment. This helps the director and associate director with general office duties for example processing payrolls, ordering supplies, preparing reports as well as grant suggestions.
