Job Description/Wage Averages
Hosts: The hosts are the first point of contact of the restaurant’s patrons. They meet and greet the guests, help manage seating arrangements, and tend to those who are waiting to be seated. They also work directly with the servers and restaurant managers to determine the pace and flow of customers dining times.
Cashier: This position works directly with the restaurant manager, servers, and guests in all sales transactions. Cashiers are responsible for screening and directing incoming phone calls, as well as handling to-go and pick-up food orders. He/She will help the servers in the processing of bills-of-sale and credit card transactions.
Servers: This position refers to the so called face of the restaurants. The job is to ensure the guest has an enjoyable and lively experience while dining at Pasta Pomodoro. Servers are responsible for helping guests understand the Pasta Pomodoro concept of simple, fresh, and stylish Italian food at a reasonable price. They are also responsible for helping our guests understand the menu and wine selection; they offer suggestions based on guests’ preferences, and present daily specials.
Shift Leaders: The Shift Leader provides additional support to the General and Restaurant Managers on an intermittent basis by supervising shifts.
Kitchen Trainers: The Kitchen Trainer maintains food quality standards and oversees the phases of food procurement, production and service, including inventory and ordering, storage and rotation, food preparation and recipe adherence.
Restaurant Managers: Restaurant Manager supports the General Manager in all aspects of shift management.
General Managers: The General Manager is the “CEO” of his or her location and oversees the complete operation of a restaurant, is responsible for the training and development of their assisting managers and staff, and builds a strong presence in the local community.
