OfficeMax Manager Salary

Seeing the potential in providing office supplies to household consumers to companies, OfficeMax opened their doors to the public. OfficeMax is the second largest office supplies retailer in the United States. The company was founded by Michael Feuer on April 1, 1988 in Mayfield Heights, Ohio where the store still remains. Currently, OfficeMax have over 1000 retail outlets in the US and 43 in Mexico.

OfficeMax managers should be able to handle daily challenges that come with the job. They need to be familiar with the products that they carry and should impart the knowledge to their staff to be more effective. Since there are several products that they offer, the manager should always make sure that items are aplenty and coordination is needed with the supplier if the store is running low on a particular item.

The manager should also be part of the sales team from time to time. They need to interact with clients that visit the store. Customer complaint and feedback is unavoidable and must be resolved properly. The manager should find the delicate balance between finding the proper resolution for customer satisfaction without compromising company policies.
