History of Lucy’s Activewear

Founded back in 1999 by Nike executives, today Lucy Activewear has over 64 stores.  You can find stores in states such as Michigan, Arizona, Oregon, New Jersey, as well as a few others.  As they started as an online retailer, they have boomed as a brick and mortar based shop.  Today they do over 50 million in revenue on an annual basis.

Job Description / Average Wage

Sales Associate: You will help assist with various duties in the store.  You will stock clothing, fold it, as well as keep the store cleaned.  You will run the register, where you will help customers with their order, as well as process returns.  You will assist customers with the changing room, and more.  The average wage is $8 to $11 a hour.

Inventory:  You’re going to be responsible for working in the store’s backroom.  You’ll assist with unloading trucks, pricing items as well as making sure that all of the items are according to company policy.  You’ll also be in charge of bringing the merchandise to the floor where you’ll help associates stock it.  The average wage is anywhere from $8 to $10 a hour.

Assistant Manager: You will answer to the main manager of the store.  You will do many of the duties that the sales associate performs.  You will be asked to open, as well as close the store from time to time.  If there are any problems, you will answer to the main manager.  The typical assistant manager salary here is $9+ a hour.

Store Manager:  The store manager is going to watch over the entire store.  You’re going to run the store according to the corporate guidelines.  You’re going to help open up the store, close it down as well as make sure that the customers are having a great experience.  You’ll be required to partake with conference calls, file paperwork as well as attend monthly meetings with the district manager on duty.  The average wage starts at $13+ a hour.
