History of LifeWay

This Christian Resource based shop is one of the largest Christian based stores in the United States.  Their main headquarters are located in Nashville, Tennessee.  They have been awarded one of the best employers in the whole state of Tennesse.

Founded in 1891, a man by the name of J.M. Frost founded LifeWay.  Today, the store boasts over 150 stores, and has well over 7,000 employees.  With a net income of over 500 million a year, Lifeway include audio, video recordings, supplies for churches, and more.

Job Description / Average Wage

Sales Associate: Your duties will be to include helping the customers out, assisting them with a purchase, as well as answering any questions that they may have.  You will also find that you will have to ring up their orders, keep the store clean, as well as making sure that everything is in stock.  You will generally work with a few people.  The average wage is around $7 to $9 a hour.

Cashier: The cashier is going to work the front of the store.  You’re going to ring up customers as they bring their order to the front.  You’re going to want to make sure that they are happy with their purchase.  You’re going to be in charge of handling credit card transactions, cash and more.  This position pays $7 to $10 a hour.

Assistant Manager / Supervisor: The supervisor is going to watch over a shift when the main manager isn’t available.  You’re going to be in charge of helping with assigning tasks, opening up the store, as well as making sure that the store is running according to company policy.  You’re going to assist with various other tasks that the manager needs helped with.  This position pays $8 to $14 a hour.

Manager: You will be in charge of running the store.  You will create the schedule, make sure inventory in tact, as well as make sure that the customer is happy.  You will report any problems to upper management.  The average wage for a manager will range from $8 to as much as $14 a hour.
