History of Kragen Auto Parts

Kragen Auto Parts is part of the O’Reilly’s family of auto parts.  With names such as Checker’s and more, you’re going to find that many of the Kragen branded stores are located throughout the midwestern United States.  As part of the biggest auto parts retail store in the United States, you can find everything from accessories to car parts.  This is a great store for those to go to, when you’re looking for anything “do it yourself.”

Job Description / Average Wage

Parts Specialist: You’re going to process orders for the customer, answer phones, as well as help in the backroom.  You will assist with stock, as well as make sure that the questions are answered, when the customer asks an auto related question.  The average wage is from $8 to $12 a hour.

Delivery: You’re going to take parts and deliver them to local mechanic shops and more where they need them.  You’re going to help assist the customers with their parts orders, as well as help around the local shop when the times are slow.  You may also have to process orders over the phone and more.  The average wage is $7 to $10 a hour.

Sales Associate: You’re going to help with the parts specialist.  You’re going to help stock the shelves, clean the store, as well as assist customers.  You will deal more with the floor, rather than with the parts in the back.  The average wage for this position is anywhere from $8 and beyond.

Cashier: You’re going to ring up customers as they walk into the store.  You’re going to assist them with their parts, as well as make sure that they are happy with their purchase.  You will handle credit card transactions, cash and more.  The average wage is $7 to $9 a hour.

Assistant Manager: You’re going to assist the main manager.  You will help open, close the store, as well as make sure that the employees are working to the best of your ability.  You will also assist the employees, whenever they need your help.  Your average wage is from $10 to $13 a hour.
