Job Description/Wage Averages
Line Cooks: Line Cooks are assigned to prepare dishes for costumers. He is responsible for quality of the products that is served from preparing to serving with proper plate presentation and garnishing.
Prep Cooks: The prep cook assist in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables and other ingredients to be prepared. He must be to utilize a wide range of kitchen tools and utensils, include chopping knives and vegetable grinders. He must also be the in-charge of ensuring that leftover food is stored properly.
Dishwasher: This position has numerous errands to perform. This will include cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking or serving; loading and unloading trucks that deliver or pick up food and supplies; receiving and storing supplies; but his primary duty is to keep kitchen utensils and equipment clean and stored properly.
Host: This position is in charge in supervising and coordinating activities in the dining room as well as supervising the personnel to provide fast and courteous service to the guests. He will also schedule dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.
Restaurant Manager: This position is the overall in-charge of all the activities that will take place in the restaurant where he is assigned. He is accountable for the management of people, financial resources and operations of the assigned restaurant. The Restaurant Manager is responsible in the implementation of operational standards and procedures in the all aspects: sales, cost control and manpower scheduling and in achieving the company’s goals.
