History of Kauffman Tire

Kauffman Tire was founded in 1936 by Harry and Eva at Wooster, Ohio. In 1960, Harry’s son, John, joined the company and soon become the company President. The company’s headquarters was then moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1975.

In 1984, Mark, a third generation of Kauffmans’, joined the business.

In early 2003, Kauffman Tire opened its new, state-of-the-art 175,000 square foot distribution center, corporate office facility and complete technical training center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kauffman Tire has more than eight-hundred dedicated associates continue to earn each customer’s business with honest and dependable performance. With over 75 years of commitment, Kauffman remains to be at its heights of success.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Store Manager: The store Manager is engaged in planning and executing strategies to drive sales and improve employee performance. He/she is responsible for the overall operations, sales and profitability of the store. This also includes proper merchandising and maintaining excellent customer service standards through leading by example and consistent training and developing of the store team. Annual salary is from $53k to $57k.

Sales Advisor: This position works to toward sales targets and he must have thorough knowledge of the products the company is selling in order to inform customers and maximize sales. The hourly salary is $15 to $16.

Tire Technician: This person install and repair tires for of the customers’ trucks and cars. He will install, balance, repair and rotate tires. He also repairs run-flat tires, retread worn off-the-road tires or complete other specialty tire work. He must be skillful in using special tools.

Sales Person: this position is in-charge of generating sales and in attaining sales goals of the company. The salary ranges $15 to $16 per hour.

General Service Technician: This person attends to the customers needs. He may also perform repairs or delegate somebody to do the tasks.  You’ll be in charge of helping with repairing tires, replacing them as well as making sure that the customer is satisfied. The hourly rate is $10.
