In-N-Out Burger is a regional chain of fast food restaurants with sites in the western United States. Established in 1948 by Harry Snyder and his wife Esther, and headquartered in Irvine, California, In-N-Out Burger has since developed outside Southern California to the rest of the state, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah, with Texas locations coming soon. The recent owner is Lynsi Martinez, the only grandchild of founders Harry and Esther Snyder. There are presently 258 locations with no location more than one day’s drive from the Baldwin Park distribution center. For example, In-N-Out is one of the few fast food chains in the United States to compensate its employees significantly more than state and federally mandated minimum salary guidelines starting at $10 per hour in California, as of January 2008.

Job Description and Average Wage

Associate: This individual is in charge for the operation of store equipment such as slicer, dicers, computer terminals, fryer, grills, etc. The effective operation of such equipment needs the use of all limbs and the capability to see at close distance. Essential to this work is the capability to move freely in and around problems common in the stores. This individual should be able to move from one work area to another at a moment’s notice and in and around crowded work areas.

The hourly salary is around $10-$12.

Benefits Administrator: The Benefits Administrator will help in the administration of health, dental and vision benefits for the company including eligibility notification, online application processing, monthly bill reconciliations and COBRA notifications.   This position helps in answering to Associate inquiries regarding health benefits as well as leaves of absence.

The average wage is $43,000 to $52,000 a year.

Purchasing Manager: The Purchasing Manager will be accountable for developing, sustaining and overseeing a supply chain of products that guarantee an uninterrupted flow of products that are of the highest excellence and the best price value available to support their store operations. This position will be accountable for supervising market fluctuations and tracking purchasing activity and measurements as to offer information on merchandises, market conditions, supply chain threats and commendations to upper administration.

Your average wage will be around $46,000 — $79,000 a year.

Order Puller: The Order Puller will be accountable for pulling and preparing store product orders by means of an electric riding pallet jack, forklift, and hand-truck for delivery.
