Job Description / Average Wage

Sales Associate: You’re going to work in a specific department.   You’re going to make sure that the departments are cleaned, the customers are getting their questions answered, as well as help them with any orders that they want to make.  On average, a sales associate will make $8 to $13 a hour.

Cashier: You will work in the front of the store.  You will ring up customers, as well as make sure that they get all the items that they need.  If they have any questions, you will assist them with their problems.  You will also help maintain lines, and keep the front of the store clean.  The average wage is $8 to $13 a hour.

Customer Service: You will work the customer service department, where you will process returns, answer phones, as well as help with any order questions a customer has.  You may have to help people ring up their orders from time to time.  The average wage is $8 to $11 a hour.

Stock:  Working the backroom, you’re going to help unload trucks that come in as well as organize all of the merchandise.  If any customers need a particular item, you may also assist them with their inquiry.  You’ll be in charge of making sure that the merchandise is clean as well price mark all merchandise that comes in.  The average wage is $9 to $14 a hour.

Team Leader:  Working the main floor, you’re going to be in charge of a specific section of the store.  You’re going to make sure that employees are doing their job as well as making sure that the customer’s questions as answered.  If there are any problems, you’ll report to the main manager of the store.  The average wage is $39,000 to $42,000 a year.
