Job Description/Average Wage

Server: The servers are responsible for keeping the buffet, salad bar, and dessert bar full with the food items. They are also responsible to make sure that the customers are properly serviced helping them to find the foods they need, and other items to enjoy their meals. The server average wage is $7.00 an hour.

Cook: Cooks at the Golden Corral Family Steak House normally work a particular section in the kitchen. The sections they work are salad bar preparation, baked goods, fresh vegetables, potatoes, meats, baked items, boiled items, deep fried, etc. It depends on your experience in the kitchen and the type of food that you know how to fix. If you are an experienced cook you will earn more money, if you are not experienced and need to be trained you will be able to earn more money as you learn your station. The experienced cook normally starts at $9.00 an hour.
