Job Descriptions and Wage Averages

Cashier: You are the one responsible in processing sales dealings of the company that’s why you must have outstanding skills in receiving payments and giving changes in a timely manner. You will be handling different kinds of customers and it is a part of your responsibility to entertain all of them equally and greet them as they enter the establishment. The usual pay for this job is $8.51 an hour.

Service Clerk: You are responsible in assisting the clients to have an exciting and happy purchasing experience in the store and aid them in doing their purchasing activities. You will also help the customers with their special requests that are related with purchase and sales processes. The usual pay for this job is $9.12 per hour.

Department Manager: You will supervise and handle all activities in the unit and its employees as well as the functions and sales of the department with the intention to meet the desired profit goals. You will also organize and prepare product presentations, system of processing daily cash dealings, and lead departmental daily activities. The average wage for this job ranges from $20 to $22 an hour.

Grocery Bagger: You are primarily responsible in bagging the grocery items of the customers by placing them properly on plastic or paper bags. You will also carry bagged groceries to the customer’s parking area. The usual salary for this position is $7.21 per hour.

Seafood Manager: You’re going to manage the department inventory, pricing reliability, in-stock arrangement and other operational activities and procedures. You will make sure that the department will meet the standards of performance set by the company sales and production standards. You will also ensure that new employees and staff receive the right training and supervision as well as to guide them in completing their tasks. The common salary for this position ranges from $18 to $19 per hour.
