History of Chick-Fil-A

Headquartered in Georgia, Chick-fil-A primarily focuses in chicken based entrees.  They are currently the 2nd largest chicken based franchise, only falling short of KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken).  As of 2010, they have over 1,600 locations in more than 38 states.

Job Descriptions / Wage Averages

Cashier: Your duties are going to include ringing up customer’s orders at the counter, grabbing orders, as well as putting them together.  You will also handle any customer complaints that they may have.  The average wage for this job is going to vary from $7 to $10 a hour depending on your location.

Shift Manager: You’re going to be in charge of running a whole shift.  You’re going to answer to the main manager.  You will be in charge of handling customer complaints, running the kitchen, as well as the counter.  You will also be responsible for giving the employees tasks to complete.  This job pays anywhere from $10 to $16 a hour.

Team Member: This job includes a whole bunch of random job options.  You will do many things from running the counter, to cleaning the lobby.    As a team member, your sole responsibility is to make sure that you do as you’re told during your shift.    You’re going to more than likely answer to the main manager / supervisor on the shift. This job pays $7 to $10 a hour.

Drive Thru: You’re going to be in charge of running the drive thru where you’re going to take orders, gather the food for the patron, as well as assist the kitchen staff with any jobs that they may have in your downtime.  You will be in charge of accepting cash, credit cards and more when taking an order through the drive thru itself.  The average wage is anywhere from $6 to $10 a hour.

Supervisor / Manager: You’re going to be in charge of running the whole restaurant.  You’re going to either be the assistant manager, or you’re going to be the main manager.  You’re going to help with opening and closing the restaurant, cleaning it, as well as making sure that everything is running at 100%.  The average wage for this position is anywhere from $9 to $15 a hour.
